Carlisle Baptist Church exists because of some GOOD NEWS!

Look around you. Our world is broken. Our relationships are painful. Our hearts are rebellious. We need help.

Jesus said "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full"

(John 10:10).

We think this is the best good news ever.

Knowing Jesus means knowing forgiveness, knowing real love, knowing new life.

We are a Christian church that loves Jesus & meets every Sunday in the heart of Carlisle.

We'd love for you to come along. We meet every Sunday morning at 10:00am on Warwick Square.

Church might be completely new to you - that's OK!

We understand that trying anything new can be a daunting experience so we have put together a few pointers or "frequently asked questions" telling you what to expect if you come along.

A Family On Mission

1) A family becoming more like Jesus

Here is how we know we belong to him. Those who claim to belong to him must live just as Jesus did.
— 1 John Ch 2:5-6

2) A family responding to gospel need

So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
— Matthew Ch 28:19

3) A family sharing the truth

But make sure that in your hearts you honour Christ as Lord. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have. Be ready to give the reason for it. But do it gently and with respect.
— 1 Peter Ch 3:15

4) A family welcoming and growing

To those who are weak I became weak. That was to win the weak. I have become all things to all people. I have done this so that in all possible ways I might save some. I do all this because of the good news. And I want to share in its blessings.
— 1 Corinthians Ch 9:22-23

5) A family increasing in love

I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you. If you love one another, everyone will know you are my disciples.
— John Ch 13:34-35
